Quetta (Republican News) Quetta Electricity Supply Company (QESCO) has said here on Tuesday that the Company was receiving 50 to 60 MW electricity against demand of about 100 MW from Iran that causing load shedding in different areas of Makran.
A spokesman Qesco said that at present QESCO is carrying out 10hrs in City area, while 14hrs load shedding in rural areas of Gwadar and other districts of Makran division due to fifty percent shortage of power supply from Iran. He said that Iran is supplying 50-60 MW against demand of 100 MW electricity, from 12:00 noon to 06:00 pm to the Company in Makran. He denied 18hrs load shedding is being carried out at Gwadar including .Makran region.
However, after improvement in supply position on daily basis from Iran from 06:00 pm till morning, load management is considerably reduced & is carried out in accordance with Administrative & Technical Losses (ATC) framed by Government of Pakistan and also the recovery position from private and others is 49% of entire Makran region. QESCO’s spokesman has requested to its valued customers to pay their bills regularly & timely which will be helpful in reducing their load management duration.
